“When I discovered Woody Allen movies, I was like 16 years old and I remember realizing, ‘This is why people like watching movies! Because they can reflect a culture that resembles the way you think.’ It was just like one of those moments when you just get it.
“That’s what I found with Woody Allen’s movies, especially those from the late ’80s and early ’90s like ‘Husbands and Wives,’ ‘Crimes and Misdemeanors,’ and ‘Hannah and Her Sisters’– that one in particular stands out as one that really had a great impact on me.
“Those movies and the characters in those movies perfectly reflect the way that I view life, and they’re really entertaining and psychologically probing at the same time– which is not easy to achieve. All of those things make them really interesting to me.
Jesse Eisenberg stars in the new action comedy “30 Minutes or Less” and will next be seen in Woody Allen’s “Bop Decamoeron.”

Best Film: The Social Network

/ August 16, 2011Honestly, I don’t see how Jesse, who is an intelligent and gifted actor, can go from an Academy Award-nominated film like “the Social Network” to this piece of drivel. I didn’t laugh once. Probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. And WHERE did this guy, Aziz Ansari, come from? He’s just not funny!
