“Predisposed” added to the lineup of the 28th annual Sundance Film Festival

“Predisposed,” a comedy starring Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan, is one of four features added to the lineup of the 28th annual Sundance Film Festival.
The writing-directing debut of Philip Dorling and Ron Nyswaner, “Predisposed” will bow in the festival’s starry Premieres lineup. Centered around a piano prodigy and a hapless drug dealer, pic also features Sarah Ramos and Isiah Whitlock Jr.

The Park City at Midnight sidebar will see the world premiere of “John Dies at the End,” the latest supernatural thriller scripted and helmed by horror maven Don Coscarelli (“Bubba Ho-Tep”). Adapted from David Wong’s novel about a drug called soy sauce that enables time travel, the pic features Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown and Glynn Turman.

Sundance has had a number of high-profile, last-minute program additions in recent years, including Miranda July’s “The Future” and Lisa Cholodenko’s “The Kids Are All Right.”

Paolo Sorrentino’s Sean Penn starrer “This Must Be the Place,” a Weinstein Co. pickup, and Joachim Trier’s drug-addiction drama “Oslo, August 31st” have been added to Sundance’s Spotlight slate reserved for world-cinema favorites. Both pics premiered at Cannes in May.

The Sundance Film Festival runs Jan. 19-29.
