The two were a satisfying yet unlikely duo in the horror comedy Zombieland, and now Variety reports Woody Harrelson is set to team-up with Jesse Eisenberg again for the magician heist film Now You See Me from director Louis Leterrier. The story follows a team of FBI agents against the Four Horsemen, a squad of the world’s greatest illusionists who pull off a series of bank heists during their performances, then shower the profits on their audiences. Harrelson is in talks to play Merritt Osbourne, a mentalist and hypnotist known for his mind tricks who is forced to flee England to Vegas where he joins the thief team.
Harrelson is just icing on an already impressive cake with a cast that already includes Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher (replacing Amanda Seyfried) and Melanie Laurent. The original script came from Edward Ricourt (How to Defeat Your Own Clone) and Boaz Yakin (Prince of Persia), but Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol writers Andre Nemec and Josh Applebaum recently touched up the script as well. Even more talent behind the camera comes from Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci who are producing what sounds like a truly fun and original heist film.
